Dr. Joshua Shieh is a third generation clinician who’s family holds a tradition of dentistry since 1937. He graduated in 2006 from Dr. MGR Medical University and returned to complete his Masters degree program in the subject of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry in 2012. He currently serves as a Clinical Instructor at the Oral Rehabilitation Center, Grad Periodontics clinic at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto and volunteers as a committee member at the Ontario Dental Association. A sanguine by nature with recreation en route to singing, innovative think tanking and motivation for young adults, he devotes and contributes everyday towards making small thoughtful changes to make the world a better place.

If you’ve met Dove, you’ll likely never forget her. Her positive energy along with great sense of humor makes every visit lively. She knows how to make every patient feel welcomed and relaxed. Beyond her enthusiastic personality, Dove brings both clinical and academic experience to Floss & Gloss. During her two decades of work experience, she has spent more than half those years teaching Dental Assisting at colleges across Ontario.

The office is clean, new, and you can’t go wrong once you step in, you’ll feel right at home. Farah did a great job!The tools are up to date and even the fact that they use vaseline on your lips while they work on your teeth blew me away – I’ve never had that done before and I think it should be mandatory everywhere cause your lips get so dry.The team there are so friendly and welcoming. Very knowledgeable and informative professionals which is rare. I left knowing more about my teeth then ever before.They really make you feel comfortable and you gotta love the Netflix shows playing while you’re getting your teeth cleaned. Modern dental office – great atmosphere.Eco friendly place – love the laminated sign in papers for new clients and the reusable goodie bag they give you at the end of the visit.Super satisfied with my visit. We came to Floss & Gloss after being recommended by a friend. The entire staff was extremely welcoming and professional. They have the newest dental technology in the office. Their communication about the state of my teeth was outstanding. They used pictures to show and explain any work that needed to be done and what I needed to be concerned about for the future. They cleaned my teeth extremely well. I brought my 4 year old daughter here on that day and they were able to squeeze her in for an appointment. My daughter had such a pleasant experience with the dentist as they made her very comfortable. It’s crucial that children have good experiences at the dentist early on in order for them to build a healthy, trusting relationship with their dentist. My daughter came home excited to brush her teeth and improve her dental hygiene. We both had such an amazing experience that I convinced my wife to book an appointment. My wife has been with her dentist since she was a child and would drive over 30 minutes to her dentist because she was convinced her dentist was the best. After one appointment with the dental hygienist and dentist at Floss & Gloss, she was convinced that she had to make the move to Floss & Gloss. I went in yesterday to see Dr. Ali for a full dental checkup including x-rays. It was painless and easy. The x-ray was done in my chair and he showed me the results right away on a laptop. I’ve been going to a dentist and various hygienist”s for close to 15 years, till eventually the fear of pain, time constraints and just lack of care eventually made me ignore and neglect one of the most important part of our body we need every single day, our teeth. With poor care and lack of knowledge eventually, my teeth felt weak and my gums were consistently bleeding. While being in the neighborhood, thankfully I walked into Floss & Gloss Dental Hygiene Care. Not only is this place immensely clean and spotless, but my hygienist Farah Sheikh made me feel immensely comfortable while taking her time being supportive and explaining every single process. I’m very sensitive to pain, especially when it comes to my teeth, and if I were to be honest, I didn’t flinch once ! There were plaque stains on the top and bottom while immense tartar built up behind my teeth leading to my gums bleeding frequently. After carefully and painlessly going through each procedure, I honestly feel like I’ve got a new pair of teeth where I can confidently smile !What’s great is, since I wasn’t properly taking care of the hygiene when it came to my teeth, Farah took time out to even show me the correct and proper way to floss while even providing me with a little kit with a bunch of accessories within it.I would not only recommend Floss and Gloss and especially Farah to each and every single person, but suggest it as a routine place for frequent visits to keep your teeth healthy and white !Kudos to the entire team at Floss and Gloss Dental Hygiene and wish them all the best ! – 2/25/2017

As soon as I got there I was seated in the dental chair, where I was given the best fuzzy blanket and the remote for Netflix- it made my long cleaning and whitening appointment fly by! Farah did an amazing cleaning job (probably the best I’ve ever had). She really took her time and explained everything as she was going through. I definitely learned a lot about my teeth and gums while she was doing the cleaning. The whitening experience was comfortable and Farah was very attentive to me the entire time. I have been to this place about 4 times & I would say yes this place has a great dentist (Ali) and great dental hygienists (Dovi), no issues with the work they do here.The receptionist Rose is very pushy. – 10/09/2020
